Scandinavian-inspired design

The EX30 exterior captures the essence of Scandinavian design with beautiful details that are also practical. From improving aerodynamics to housing vital sensors, every aspect of the exterior blends form and function. The result is an SUV that’s distinctive – and distinctly electric.

Black roof and spoiler

A roof spoiler adds a sporty touch to the exterior and improves aerodynamic efficiency. It also cleverly hides a brake light and rear wiper washer nozzle. The optional black roof with colour-coordinated spoiler emphasises the car’s low centre of gravity, adding to its athletic stance on the road.

New wheel design

Exclusive new wheels are designed to be light and aerodynamic for improved handling and energy efficiency. They’re available in 19-inch 5-spoke aero design. The diamond-cut designs use sharp angles and hidden bolts to create the illusion of larger wheels with extended spokes. And glossy black inserts contrast beautifully with the wheel’s aluminium surfaces.

Dynamic 5-seater

The EX30 delivers the utility SUV drivers love in a scaled-down package. It hits the right notes style-wise, too, with a high ground clearance, balanced proportions and confident stance. And despite its size, it’s a comfortable 5-seater suited to an active lifestyle.

High-visibility LED lights

Our signature Thor’s Hammer headlights have a wide, segmented design and adjustable height. The long LED light pattern provides excellent visibility, and you can automatically switch between low and full beams to avoid dazzling other drivers. The C-shaped rear lights feature two sections that sit flush with the car body, adding to the SUV’s seamless appearance. Look for the welcome or farewell light sequence as you approach or leave the car – a friendly twinkle to mark every trip.

Spacious boot

The boot of your EX30 can hold up to 400 litres. Fold down the rear seat backrests to bump that up to 1000 litres, including a 61-litre compartment under the boot floor. The inner wheel arches are pushed out of the way to widen the boot and create a flat floor. Lower the boot floor to stow heavy or bulky items – it’s simple enough to do with one hand. The power-operated tailgate opens with the touch of a button outside the car or on the centre display. At higher equipment levels, you can use your key fob or the Volvo EX30 app.

The Volvo Car Warranty covers the battery for up to eight years or 160,000km (whichever occurs first), provided the car and battery are maintained and used in accordance with Volvo Cars’ recommendations.

Volvo Cars maintains a strong focus on the battery raw material supply chain to enable responsible sourcing. In 2019, we launched blockchain to enable traceability from the mine to the car of the cobalt used in our batteries. Since then, the scope has widened to include nickel, lithium, mica, graphite and tracking carbon emissions.

We also have an audit program covering the suppliers in the battery supply chain. The aim of the program is to ensure that suppliers at all tiers in our cobalt, lithium, nickel, mica and graphite supply chains are conformant with relevant standards and frameworks and to ensure continuous improvement of ESG (environmental, social, governance) performance across our battery supply chain. The audits are conducted against the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-affected and High-risk Areas and the IRMA Standard for Responsible Mining Critical Requirements or equivalent schemes for mines.

Sustainability performance is a key consideration when assessing and selecting our suppliers. We continuously monitor the performance of our existing suppliers and work with them to improve the sustainability performance of our products and services.
